Touring programs

We want to bring the excitement of live theater performed by our highly-trained professional actors to schools across the Southeast.We offer four, hour-long touring shows that will bring famous literature to life for students of all ages.

Macbeth: 60

When witchcraft, murder and vengeance take a break from the Atlanta Shakespeare Company Mainstage, they hit the road in our newest installment in the :60 series in this thrilling production of Macbeth: 60. All of the drama of the full production, complete with sword fights, condensed into one class period.

Journey’s End

Inspired by William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and real-life historical events, the Atlanta Shakespeare Company is proud to premiere this new work by an Atlanta playwright. For fifty minutes your students will experience the drama and tragedy of the Civil War and follow an inspiring young woman on her journey through the war-torn South. Bring your history lessons to life for your students by joining our actors for the premiere season of this gripping production

The :60 Series Favorite Returns -Shakespeare plays presented in one hour.

This small cast adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet condenses the Bard's famous tale of star-crossed lovers into sixty minutes of romance, poetry, humor, sword play, and tragedy, all while keeping the plot intact. This touring show features a cast of eight actors playing multiple roles in a fast-paced, high energy performance.

Midsummer Jr!

Adapted by Adam King

This forty-five minute, high-energy adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic A Midsummer Night’s Dream uses puppets, live music, and silly props to bring the story and characters to life for even the youngest of theatre-goers. Designed to be performed in a large classroom or auditorium space, this magical and hilarious show is sure to ignite the imagination of your students as they experience the beauty of Shakespeare’s language.
